A humble Watchmaker named Johannes strikes a dangerous bargain with an ancient Troll in exchange for immeasurable wealth. But gold comes at a price: the spirit takes possession of people, turning virtue into madness. Adventures that seem lighthearted at first soon become a deadly threat. Will the Watchmaker be clever enough to outwit the Troll and save not only himself, but an entire kingdom?
