Even paradise requires death
Even paradise requires death,
Shadows in the light like beasts.
Through the flowers that are in the city light,
There’s a whisper of life’s measure.
Ever green, ever happy,
But behind the happiness are the shadows of power.
Soon in the breast where life lives,
A secret groaning is heard again.
Thoughts are like streams in springtime,
“They’ll never be silent in this life,
And in paradise, where all is without a fight,
A star shines with gentle evil.
Light and darkness are like two friends,
Laughter and tears are always circling
The world is ruled by passion and negativity,
But there’s anxiety too.
The fruits of happiness and temptation,
Every sin is a gift from heaven.
Even in paradise and in blessing,
Death is the beginning and the end.
It leads to spring and summer,
From the liberated soul.
Even paradise requires death,
In eternal life, silence.
