The shadows in the bar

Taste waters of oblivion.

Get out of your car

And see what we’re living on.

Come on, dude, take a seat.

Let’s have a booze tonight.

I betcha you gonna like it.

Another regular’s in sight.

His name’s Jack Daniels.

Whom can you see here else?

That guy over there

Goes by the name of Bud Weiser.

He’s fallen from the chair,

He would’ve not if he’d been wiser.

The hot chap Smirnoff

Always says, “Buzz off!”,

When you sit down next to him.

At times his fist meets someone’s chin.

And I’m Jimmy Beam.

Now you’re in the stream.

Here, gulp this shot o’whiskey

An’ join our team.

CONFORMITY IS SUICIDE

I hate to be on the others’ side

And hide behind the wall.

I said, “God-damn-it-all.”

Conformity is suicide.

I LOCKED MY HEART

I locked my heart

And threw away the key;

I’ve played my part,

What else should I be?


I loved in vain,

Love’s only pain.

My soul’s a charade,

I lost the title of a bard.


Who else can I be?

Who can set me free?

You poked my eyes with a cue;

I’m blind but I can see

I’ve always been a felo de se.

TIME ERASED MY NAME

Time erased my name

Completely off its slate.

No one is left who’d care about me,

No one is left who’d hate.
