В английском языке существует несколько форм будущего времени, которые используются в зависимости от значения высказывания.
Going to используется для:
заранее принятых планов и намерений;
прогнозов, основанных на текущей ситуации или очевидных признаках.
Формула:
Subject + am / is / are + going to + base verb
Examples:
I am going to start a new course next month. — Я собираюсь начать новый курс в следующем месяце.
Look at the sky. It is going to rain. — Посмотри на небо. Сейчас пойдёт дождь.
Will используется для:
решений, принятых в момент речи;
обещаний и предложений;
прогнозов, основанных на личном мнении.
Формула:

Examples:
I will help you with this task. — Я помогу тебе с этим заданием.
I think the meeting will take longer than expected. — Думаю, встреча займёт больше времени, чем ожидалось.
Present Continuous используется для:
чётко организованных планов на ближайшее будущее;
договорённостей и назначенных событий.
Examples:

Story
