Предисловие

Дорогой читатель,

Я очень рада, что ты держишь в руках эту книгу, и хочу поделиться с тобой, как работать с топиками, чтобы учёба по английскому языку стала проще и интереснее.

Для меня английский — это не просто предмет, а целый мир возможностей. Я сама когда-то училась на твоём месте и точно помню, как иногда было сложно начать говорить на английском. Но одна из самых важных вещей, которые я поняла, — это то, что учить язык нужно с радостью и интересом. В этой книге собраны темы, которые помогут тебе чувствовать себя увереннее в разных ситуациях и научат выражать свои мысли на английском.

Каждая глава книги посвящена конкретной теме, которая встречается в повседневной жизни. My Day

Hello! Let me introduce myself. My name is Alex, and I am twelve years old. I study in the sixth grade at a secondary school. I live in a small but cozy town with my parents and my younger sister. Our town is not very big, but it is clean, friendly, and comfortable to live in. I like it because people know each other and help one another.

On school days, I usually wake up at seven o’clock. First, I wash my face, brush my teeth, and have breakfast. Then I get dressed and go to school. My school is not far from my home, so I often walk there. At school, I have many subjects, such as Math, English, History, and Science. My favorite subjects are English and History because they are interesting and useful.

After school, I usually come home, have a short rest, and do my homework. I also help my parents around the house. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, watching films, reading books, and playing computer games. When the weather is good, I like riding my bike or going for a walk with my friends.

At weekends, I don’t go to school, so I have more free time. I often meet my friends, visit my grandparents, or spend time with my family. We like watching films together, playing board games, and talking about our plans and daily life.

I think I am a friendly, kind, and responsible person. I try to be polite and helpful to other people. In the future, I want to travel to different countries, learn foreign languages, and get a good job. That’s all about me.

My Family

My family is not very big, but it is friendly and close. There are four people in my family: my parents, my younger sister, and me. We spend a lot of time together and always try to help one another.

My father is forty years old. He works as an engineer. He is a hardworking and responsible person. In his free time, he likes reading books, watching documentaries, and fixing things around the house. My mother is thirty-eight years old. She works as a teacher at a primary school. She is kind, caring, and very patient. She also helps me with my homework when I need it.

My younger sister is eight years old. She goes to primary school. She is very active and curious. She likes drawing, playing with her toys, and asking many questions. Sometimes she is noisy, but I love her very much.

We also have grandparents. They live in another town, so we do not see them every day, but we often visit them at weekends or call them in the evening. I like listening to their stories and spending time with them.

I think my family is the most important thing in my life. My parents support me, give me good advice, and help me in difficult situations. I feel happy and safe when I am with my family.

My Best Friend

I have a best friend. His name is Max. We are the same age and study in the same class. We have been friends for many years, and I am very happy to have such a friend.

Max lives not far from my house, so we often walk to school together. He is tall and sporty. He likes playing football and basketball, and he also goes to a sports club after school. Max is very active and energetic, but at the same time he is kind and friendly.

At school, we usually sit together and help each other with homework. If I don’t understand something, Max explains it to me. When he has problems, I try to help him too. We like working in pairs and doing school projects together.

My School

I study at a secondary school. My school is not very big, but it is modern and comfortable. It is located not far from my home, so I usually walk there. The school building has three floors, a gym, a library, and a canteen.

I go to school five days a week. Classes usually start at eight thirty in the morning. Every day we have five or six lessons. Between the lessons, we have short breaks when we can relax, talk to our classmates, or have a snack.

At school, we study many different subjects, such as Math, Russian, English, History, Geography, Biology, and Science. English is one of my favorite subjects because we learn new words, read texts, listen to audio, and speak in class. Our English lessons are interesting and useful.

Our teachers are kind but strict. They explain new material, give us homework, and help us when something is difficult. I respect my teachers and try to be attentive in class.

I think school is an important part of my life. It helps me get knowledge, make friends, and prepare for the future.

My School Day
